Week 2: 12 Shots
This was a head-on shot. It was difficult to film because I had to find an area to prop up my phone, but I like the way it turned out.
This is an eye level shot. It was very easy to film because I didn't have to try to move the camera smoothly. That is hard to due without a stabilizer.
This was a point of view shot. It was hard to get it right because I didn't know if my hands had to be in the shot. I created realistic movement of a person to make it look like the video was how I was moving.
This was a reaction shot. It was easy to film because I had 2 other people with me, one person to do something in the background, and one person to "react."
This was a follow shot. It was a fun one to film, but it was difficult to follow them while keeping the camera from shaking.
This was a full shot. It was easy to film, but I don't really like the way it looks.
This was a low angle shot. It was also an easy one to film and I like the way it looks. I see these shots pretty often in movies.
This was a medium shot. It was easy to film but it doesn't look very good against the white wall in my opinion. I wish I captured Kelsey doing something else in a better setting.
This was an extreme long shot. It was fun to film but I don't think it would look very good in a movie unless it was short.
This was a high angle shot. I filmed it just like the extreme long shot except I zoomed in because it was supposed to catch more "action."
This was an extreme long shot. I like this shot because it would look very dramatic in something like an action movie.
This was an establishing shot. I think it was the prettiest video I filmed. It's very calming. This would fit in well at the beginning of a movie, tv show, or any video to establish the setting.
1. Eye level shot- makes you feel close to the subject as if you're in front of them
ReplyDelete2. Point of view shot- also makes you feel closer, except to the camera person this time, it shows what they're seeing
3. Follow shot- this one was funny and the mood changes. it goes from being calm, just following 2 people walking until the subjects start being crazy
4. Low angle shot- this makes the viewer feel smaller than the subject because it appears that the photographer is below the subject
1. I really liked your point of view shot. The way you mimicked the movement of a person using the camera and really emphasized the walking movement made me feel like i was the subject.
ReplyDelete2. I also liked your follow shot, you did a really great job of keeping the camera still, and it felt like i was following the subjects almost in a car, or some kind of vehicle because of how still it was.
3. Your establishing shot was really nice. Not only was the lighting gorgeous but you got the perfect angle and setting. I can see this shot at the beginning of a movie, because it established the setting very well.
4. I liked your extreme long shot because you filmed it at a perfect angle. It makes the viewer feel larger than the subject, and it looks as if they're looking down on them.
I thought your point of view shot was creative. I liked how you moved the camera to make it appear like you were walking. I also thought you did a good job on your reaction shot because you could actually hear a noise in the background which was what she was reaction to. In your establishing shot, I agree that it could be well used at the beginning of a film, and I think it could also work well at the end of a film. Finally, your extremely long shot was also well shot. You shot it from an aerial view and far away.
